Red maple leaf is very famous in Japan during the Autumn. Momiji season in Japan is very famous and it's time to enjoy red maple leaves. As much important as sakura in spring.
It was my main inspiration for this brooch.
I made it on felt, hand embroidered with different materials and then attached to a metal brooch pin 32mm (Japan).
Back side of the brooch is dk.grey faux leather.
Size of embroidered part is 2.17x2.36 in (5.5x6cm)
Sequin colors: ruby sipper transparent, different shades of red, dk.burnt orange transparent, velvet red, perliane red.
